What is the Community programming initiative?
The Community Programming Initiative (CPI) is a movement to allow people in the community to use the radio airwaves and streaming video apps that we have developed to get their word out. We produce and distribute the shows. You show up with something to talk about.
How much is it and what does it include?
$250 for a 25-minute show. When you sit down, we will adjust the lighting, sound, cameras and background. A professional interviewer will talk to you about your business or organization.
Where does my show get distributed?
On radio, your show plays at AM 1230, FM 104.7 FM and on the TuneIn app. In video, your show airs live on people's phones on Facebook Live. On living room TVs, the show is available on Amazon, Roku and Apple TV. If you are looking to use the video in other promotions, we can provide you with a thumb drive that includes an mp4 of the show.
what are the timeframes to choose from?
8am-2pm. Typically, shows 8-10am are live in video and on the radio. Shows 10am-3pm are live in video and get replayed on radio in the evening and other times.
how do i sign up?
Debbie Wargo at Debbie@wjob1230.com or 219-844-1230 will walk you through the process. Most clients pay by check or credit card.
When does the show get replayed?
We play shows from the Community Programming Initiative in the evening and on weekends. Your show, or parts of it, may play several times on AM and FM radio.
Why join the CPI?
It's a new world. It is often not enough to advertise next to other people's content. You also need to produce your own content. We make this easy with the Community Programming Initiative. CPI shows are great for populating your social media and website.

Spots are $30 for a 30-second spot, with a five-spot minimum per week. Many clients advertise with Club 149, which gives you at least five drive-time spots per week. You also receive many bonus spots at other times during the week.
How do I get the spot recorded?
You can send us bullet points or a flyer and we will write, record and produce your spot. We will email you the spot for your approval. If you would like to voice your own spot, we can schedule a time for you to come in and record a spot. You can also send us a pre-recorded spot.

We require a four week minimum with the first four week payment upfront with either credit card or check. After that we will invoice you monthly or you can provide your credit card to be automatically charged each month.
